2023 has been a very productive year. I have changed jobs, and I have also learned new and interesting things about the world of education. Children’s development is always a mysterious field, and new research sheds light on more accurate knowledge.
The Fathers and Mothers of today’s education are people who observed children learning and made conclusions without much of the technology that’s available today. I am talking about those pioneer pedagogues that you have probably read about and even written dissertations about in university.

The turbulent times that we live today present challenges never faced before. It is the beginning of a new era, and it’s happening for the first time since education systems started shy of 200 years ago.
This year, I have written about some of those educators as well as more modern studies about how children learn and how psychologists’ and pedagogues’ theories help us teachers improve our practice in the classroom and what’s more important, help the younger generations find meaning in their lives.
Next year, I want to write more about all this and keep exploring the field of Positive Psychology, which has been a recurrent topic in my blog for the last few months. I will be sharing more of my experiences in the classroom and the conclusions I draw after my day-to-day observations. 2024 will be another year of challenges and changes, and I will embrace these with optimism and faith.
I hope those who’ve been following my writing enjoyed the reading, whether you agreed with some of my ideas or not; but I’m sure these reflections helped some reflect on their own practice too.
This is probably the last post of the year, and I would like to close 2023 with one of the quotes I have come up with during the last 12 months.
“Teaching is the art of turning lights on. Help the future shine on, teachers!”
Thanks to all of you who spent some time reading my blog, and I hope you continue to enjoy it in 2024.
